Back2Boro Update
July 2010
Well the pre-season starts for Boro tomorrow, with a game against Eastfield FC. It's at Yorkshire Coast College in Scarborough, and kicks-off at 3pm. It's just £1 admission for adults and free for under-16s. So why not get on down to watch an entertaining live footie game? There's no point in watching the World Cup anymore afterall!!
The Back2Boro committee have continued to be active through the summer, attending car-boot sales to raise cash, and holding a stall in the centre of town a couple of weeks ago. We now have well over £4,000 in the coffers, and at that stall over 200 people signed our Document of Support which we will be handing to Council Officials next week at the fans forum (more on that in a second).
The Document is still able to be signed - print a copy out here: http://www.scarboroughathletic.com/files/b2b_document_of_support.pdf
You can print, sign and post your Document sheet back to the club at 1 Red Scar Drive, Scarborough, YO12 5RQ. You can also sign the Document at a stall at the Eastfield game tomorrow.

Next week the club is holding a forum at which Council Officials will be in attendance to update us all on the progress of the Weaponness Valley Sports Village. This is your chance to come along and hear what they have to say, or ask any questions you have.
Plenty of people have been critical of the council, and many consider the Sports Village to be a non-starter. Hopefully this forum will quash those feelings and negativity. We need to be 100% behind the council in this project. The forum starts at 7.30pm at Scarborough Cricket Club, North Marine Road.
Finally for now, as Boro prepare for their pre-season campaign, we are glad to announce that the first team will wear the Back2Boro sponsored supporters' team kit throughout the seven pre-season matches - including the Supporters' Direct Shield game at Telford on July 24th. The kit was bought for the fans' team Seadogs FC by the Boro Supporters' Club, and we are very grateful to them for their support.
Over the next few weeks we will hopefully have further updates. Until then thanks for your support and it would be great to see you at YCC tomorrow and the forum next week.
